No users in login screen for F21

When I boot up F21 the login screen is empty except for the words "Not listed?".Normally the login screen lists the user(s).
when I click on "Not listed?" I'm asked to enter username, and then password, and
that gets me in.
How can I get back my normal login screen.

It appears that disable user list is checked. I am not sure by default which destop environment is used by F21, never tried it.

If it uses gnome you can try the following:

1. Install gconf-editor.
Code:
yum install gconf-editor
2. Open gconf-editor from: Applications --> System tools --> Configuration Editor
3. Once it is opened, click on File --> New Settings Window
4. In the newly opened window click on Edit --> Find
5. Look for string name simple-greeter, it will display the results in bottom pane.
6. Scroll down till you find /apps/gdm/simple-greeter.
7. Once you will click on that on the right hand side pane it will show some values. The value you should be interested in is: disable_user_list, if this option is checked then you know why the user list is not coming. Just uncheck and close the window.
8. Restart your system and see if you are able to see the user-list.

I created another user with useradd. So I now have two users. When I rebooted, the login screen now contains one user, the one that I just added. The other user does not appear. I have to click on "Not listed?" in order to then login as the other user.
I installed gconf-editor. When I run it as you suggest and search for "simple-greeter", it can't find it.
Isn't there a file somewhere that contains the screen user-list?

I little searching turned up that users with user IDs below 1000 will not show up in the list. You can use the id utility to determine the user ID of user (where 'username' is the user's name):

Code:
$ id -u username
Is the ID of the user that does not show up less than 1000?

If not, it also appears that there is an exclude list that can be specified. Check to see if you have a the following file on your system:
/etc/gdm/custom.conf

Do you see a line that looks like "Exclude=username" in that file? That could also be the cause.
