No Sound in Fedora 11

I cannot figure out how to get my sound working. I removed pulseaudio, put it back on, took it off again, added some other mixers that are supposed to work with alsa, but I can't get anything to work. Are there anything else for me to try?

One thing I am suspicious of is that you might
not have the right decoders installed. For example,
if I recall correctly, you cannot, by default,
play MP3 files, because that is a proprietary
format. The easiest way to install these decoders
is to set up rpmfusion as a repository and then
search Add/Remove Software for the right decoders.
If that's not the problem, then spell out the
problem in greater detail, that is, "when I do
this, then this happens in stead of that", etc.

sound in fedora has been an issue since fedora 8 when "pulse audio" was introduced .
the current updates in fedora 11 should have fixed most of the isues .
have you looked at the fedora help page for sound
" How to: Fix PulseAudio and primary audio issues with Fedora 10 (F10) "
http://forums.fedoraforum.org/showthread.php?t=206868

will work for 11

things like this will happen with fedora
sound works fine for about 95% of computers.
