I just installed FC4 on a new pentium P4 box with an Nvidia GeForce FX 5500
video adapter with 256MB RAM.

However none of the screen savers work except for the scrolling text screen
saver. Any advice would be much appreciated...

you might need to install the complete set of screen savers which should be a separate package, When i installed my copy of blag (FC4), the screensavers where not there so I just looked for the package on the FC4 site. Look for list of packages..... http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Extras. you might find it there good luck.....

You might have good results by installing xscreensavers and kdeartwork....

Then install all the packages that get listed except the devel packages.

Total GNU newbie here...did an upgrade into FEDORA from Red Hat -
but in Core4 screensavers were gone...read this forum...it really helped...

downloaded the Really Slick Screensavers (about three quarters of the way
down the page...)
after download - Fedora basically installed it for me? I'm using Firefox for
the download...not sure about Mozilla or some others but my guess is...
it will basically self install off any? Thanks for all your help - really appreciate
