No ifconfig nor Iwconfig

I'm having issues trying to call iwconfig to setup my linksys wireless card. I've already installed NDISWRAPPER and the network manager sees it. However, since my network uses WPA.. i can't configure the password. I've already configured WPA supplicant as well. I am also logged in as root when i try using both iwconfig and ifconfig..

any help is appreciated.

Iwconfig probably comes from the wireless-tools package.
run "rpm -q --all --filesbypkg | grep iwconfig" to check for sure.
rpm -q --all --filesbypkg | grep iwconfig
wireless-tools /usr/sbin/iwconfig
wireless-tools /usr/share/man/man8/iwconfig.8.gz
km_wlan /usr/src/kernel-modules/rt2400/docs/iwconfig_usage.txt

I can't imagine /sbin/ifconfig not being installed. The package is probably called net-tools.
I'm hedging a bit because the names of some packages may be different in SuSE then in Fedora Core.
