No icons after fresh Open office installation

I have freshly installed open office v2.02 on fedora 5 as a root user by following the procedure mentioned in open office website. After installation I cannot find any icon linking to the respective packages installed on the desktop nor in the office panel though a new directory is created in the root after installation depicting as openoffice directory. Thus, are the links to the programms (openoffice) need to be manully created?. If so, then how?

You need to install the openoffice redhat menus package. Its available in the desktop-intergration subdirectory of the OOo RPMS directory.
