No /ect/fstab -how do I have a partition mounted?

Just like the title says.

Finally got F7 and xp to dual boot on my s65 toshiba. And only minutes ago got the atheros wireless up. Now I've got a shared fat32 volume on the drive that I can mount and swap files back and forth.

Problem is I cant find where to edit in the partition to be mounted on boot. There is no /ect/fstab. When I try to make one I get an error. Obviously its not using it to mount drives anyway, as all work fine except the fat32 part.

The partition is working, its nothing to do with the hardware. Its simply that I cant find the mount list.

What is F7 using to mount drives on boot?

If you are looking for it spelled that way, that is your problem. It's /etc/fstab. Maybe it's just a typo in your post, but it's that way in the thread title, too. So, I have to think you may be spelling it that way when you try to open it.

To mount drives that are not in /etc/fstab :
mount /dev/hd** /mnt
If really don't know how to do it... search in LQ forums... there are way too many articles regarding this already...

Haha, dang! you know that just figures. Probably the reason me and command lines never agreed. I even looked in the etc folder, didn't look far enough down. Fstab is not a folder. I looked and it jumped passed where fstab would be alphabetized in.

Thanks a million.
