No Console in Fedora4

In stalled Fedora 4 on my laptop (Toshiba Satellite A45) and everything works great...except I dont have a console. Sure I can use the terminal but this is bothering me. I hit ctrl alt f1-f6 and i just get a black screen.

If anyone has any ideas Im all for em.

Did you install ati drivers? they borked my 1-6 consoles and most other things actually.

I wonder if it's them cause i had quite a similar problem of blank screens, but it did it at logout too

no actually it doesnt have a ATI video card... its an intel. 1024x768 just for some added info.

mine also does not showing the kills at logout either.... now that you mention it. It does shut down though. It doesnt have a problem at start up though, it shows all the commands.
