Network card activation

Hi,

I am unable to get my network card to be activated at start up. I have to activate manually each time I log in using the configuration tool. I have already checked that the optiont 'Activate device when computer starts' has been selected and that the appropriate file under /etc/sysconfig has been updated.

I am using Fedora core 1.

Try setting the "ONBOOT" line in /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0 to "yes" - ie:
ONBOOT=yes

Also make sure that your network is configured to start on boot by running:
chkconfig network on
