Thumbs down netbackup on Fedora core 5 not working

Recently I upgraded from fedora core 4 to fedora core 5 .

Running netbackup datacenter 3.4G client. All previous versions worked well with xinetd.d (bpcd, vopied, java-misc).

all services are up and listening, There is no firewall at this time, There is an /etc/inetd.conf all /etc/xinetd.d/ services are set to disable=no.

Client is installed. services are up. I can telnet from a server to client on all but bpcd which seems to close
proptly. Sometimes is stays connected.

DNS is good. networking good. routes are good.

Done this a milion times. Checked and re-checked.

Seems something changed or was added in Fedora core 5 that broke it. Added security for ports or something.

Server goes connecting but times out with a 57 58 or 54 client connection timeout errors.

Only happens on Fedora core 5.

Any clues?

Have you got SELinux enabled? If so try disabling and see if that helps.

Unhappy veritas netbackup not working on FC5

SElinux is disabled. I have found that FC5 no longer uses linuxthreads. They were also kind enough to remove it from
being depricated as well. So basically all and any programs which used linuxthreads are now broken.

For now I am trying to re-establish linuxthreads to continue to function but will go back to FC4 to keep this whole train a rollin.

Some programs with veritas net backup datacenter segfault due to these changes as well. bplist , bpbackup, etc.. probably because of
threads and gcc 2.4
