Need gpg key for skype for importing and installation
Kernel: 2.6.22.14-72.fc6
Skype version available via yum: 1.4.0.118-fc5 My "skype.repo" contains the following: [skype] name=Skype Repository baseurl=http://download.skype.com/linux/repos/fedora/updates/i586/ enabled=0 gpgkey=http://www.skype.com/products/skype/linux/rpm-public-key.asc gpgcheck=1 The following is given when attempting to install skype via yum: warning: rpmts_HdrFromFdno: Header V3 DSA signature: NOKEY, key ID d66b746e GPG key parsing failed: No key found in given key data Using wget to download the key does not help; where is the key located for importing and skype installation? |
I installed skype yesterday by downloading the rpm from the skype site, then tried installing using rpm, came up with needed dependencies, but yum found them for me, and rpm installed OK on the second try.

Ok, I was able to install version 2.0.0.27-fc5 by disabling the gpgcheck in skype.repo. gpgcheck=1 > gpgcheck=0

Is there a better resolution to this? I did the above and it worked, but surely it would be better if we had the gpg key imported. I couldn't actually find it anywhere...
P.s. Version 2 has wonderful video! ahhh.... long overdue! |
