ndiswrapper make

Am trying to set up wireless connection in Fedora 9. As my Dell Inspiron 1501 laptop wireless card is not compatible with Linux I am resorting to ndiswrapper-1.53 module.
When I attempt to apply the "make" command I get the message "kernel tree not found - please set kbuild to configure kernel."
The question from this boggled 78 year old brain is simply, "What do I do now?"

Fedora doesn't install the needed build dependencies by default. You need to use the package manager to install the headers and such needed to compile modules.
