MySql 5.0.27 and Fed core 5


Used mysql version v4.x something.. and there was allways about 5 -12 mysql demons runing.
Now I updated to 5.0.27-log.. and since then is only 1 mysql demon runing.

Is there something i need to update in my.cnf file??
That thing is so freaking slow its unbelive since that update???
