msg while trying to install :- "hdd: lost interrupt???"

Hey all,
Quick question, new to linux (obviously), i had previously installed fedora core 6 alongside win2k, with this same set of cd's, however after changing a couple of drives around and trying to reinstall fedora (win2k installed ok), all i get is a repeating message stating "HDD: Lost Interrupt", with no other help or explanation, is anybody able to explain why this is happening, and if so how i can fix it! system is made up of one 40gb hard drive partioned 25gb(win) and 15gb(fedora), but as i say fedora wont install???

OK, discovered HDD is my iomega zip drive, disconnected it and ran the installation again, now it works fine, so does this mean linux won't run the zip drive at all, or is there some way i can work around it, i don't need the drive just yet, but would like to keep it if possible. has anybody had this issue before?
