I just installed it yesterday, and it doesn't work. It gets to 99% complete and then stops, and when I try to play a quicktime file, it tries to go, but then stops. i just uninstalled it and then reinstalled it again, still the same thing.
Make sure that you have all of the libraries for the different types of media. I had a similar problem when I installed the plugin. Also, there are some types of streams that the plugin simply doesn't work on :-(. What browser are you using the plugin on?
Firefox. I don't know why it's not working. I had FC5 on there before but I screwed it up by trying to put the ATI driver on, but before that I had the Mplayer plugin working. I also had it working in Ubuntu, which I was playing around with over the weekend. Where can I find all the libraries that I may need?

Well, so far none of them are working per se. They all load just fine, but stop at 99% or actually completely load. I press play and every single one of the stop. I know I loaded xmms but it didn't work. TIFF didn't work. Photoshop and GIMP didn't work. None of the documents worked, which is strange because I know I loaded the PDF viewer. The 3D data didn't work either. Dammit, Jim! lol
Okay, I followed the directions from someone else and downloaded and installed the mplayer plugin separately. It works now, but some of the image plugins don't work.
