I listen to online radio and like to browse various video clips online. I USE to be able to simply click on a video clip and mplayer would launch inside the firefox display and play.
Did a YUM UPDate (hoping to fix a few other 'querks' of Fedora 7 ... but now media playing in firefox no longer works.
It downloads the media (the download shows % done and hits 100% then says "Stopped"
This is not for just streaming audio (online radio) but for Video streams also.
Exmaple:
Radio
http://players.eonstreams.com/FastAi...owLoader=false
Video
http://www.apple.com/trailers/dreamw...rs_medium.html
When I go into the firefox->Preferances->Content->FileTypes->Manage
It shows file type "QT" as set for quicktime plugin.
How do I discover why and how the various media pugins are calling Mplayer.... or why it is not working anymore.
PS: I can play media files just fine from locally saved copies
