Motherboard upgrades with FC6

I have an FC6 installation using a RAID 5 card with 4 drives (ATA-100)
in RAID 5 configuration. The motherboard and CPU are Intel P4 (2.4

I'd like to swap out the motherboard and CPU with an AMD cpu/mobo combo
I have. I've done motherboard upgrades with Slackware and didn't have
any issues. Is there anything I should expect might not work? The boot
path is off of the RAID card so that should not change, and I used the
generic x86 FC and not anything strange like the 64 bit version.

In summary it's a vanilla FC 6 installation.

Just looking to see if there might be any "gotchas" before swapping the
guts and flipping it on.

thanks ahead of time!

Here is one way to do it but I am no sure if it is 100 percent trouble free.

Boot in first FC6 kernel version. Remove never kernels if they are installed with yum. Then with new motherboard in place either boot with that first kernel or if that fails use linux rescue from boot cd or DVD disk. In rescue mode enable network interface(s), use chroot to that mnt/sytem-image ( I don't remember this correctly ) and update kernel with yum. Then boot to new kernel and then write
yum update. You should get at least running system.
