Monitor blacks out after booting from grub

I have a MAG 510v2 monitor with an nvidia geforce 2 video card. I have installed Fedora and when I triy to boot from Grub then monitor like resyncs or something. It will make a click and the monitor goes black and never resets. I have to manually reboot or just shut down.

If I add init3 to the boot line so it would be

Code:
kernel /vmlinuz-2.4.22-1.2115.nptl ro root=LABEL=/ rhgb init 3
it will allow me to go through all the hardware checks etc...[OK], [OK]...

and then I can login to root...but that is the only way for me to boot past grub.

Hoping for some useful suggestions...

.: Any advice is better than no advice at this point.

is your XF86Config file correct? I would double check all monitor values in that file to make sure they are correct. -=] Vid Card too for that matter.

pico /etc/X11/XF86Config after booting into run level 3.

XF86ConFig

Code:
  Section "Monitor"
                 Identifier "Monitor0"
                 VendorName "Monitor Vender"
                 ModelName "MAG 510v2"
                 DisplaySize 270 200
                 HorizSync 30.0 - 50.0
                 VertRefresh 50.0 - 100.0
                 Option "dpms"
EndSection

These are what my monitor settings are in my XF86ConFig...

I haven't made any changes to them because I am really insure what to change or add if anything..

Hmm this is that it says in the manual.
HorizSync 30-54
VertRefresh 50-100
BUT
Its close enough that i can say this probally isnt the issue.

Paste your entire XF86Config

use the quote vbb tags to make it easy to read.

.: UPDATE:.

Came to the conclusion that it was not the settings but the monitor itself because it is so old..so I plugged in a 18' LCD and it works like a charm.
Thanks for you time and help jOntar
