Smile Missing Fire GL X11 extensions in ATI fglrx download

Hi,

I have an ATI XL PCI card in my HP Pavilion. I downloaded the ATI fglrx file to install the ATI drivers. After I downloaded and installed the file through yum, I went to my desktop and clicked on the ATI icon in preferences. When I clicked on the icon I received the message (Driver does not provide FireGL X11 extensions, Panel will operate only partially. Am I correct in assuming that the reason I have sluggish screen performance is partially due to not having those extensions installed? If this is true does anyone have any idea where I might find these extensions and how to install them. I am making headway in the learning curve, however I feel I am out of my league with this problem. Any input would be appreciated. My HP has about 372 megs of ram and is 733mhz celeron.

Thanks
Frank
