Minimized windows disappear

I have an upgraded FC4 that all of a sudden lost the ability to view mimimize windows. I can see the tool bar bar but once I minimize any window it disappears....when I reboot they all pop back up but only for that instance. I did get a warning message previousoly but I ignored it and have had this problem ever since....rebooting does not help

Which window manager/desktop environment are you running (Gnome, KDE, etc)? Can you ALT+Tab through your applications? Are you positive you actually have a task bar on your panel? Try adding one to see if your applications are shown in it.

Oh sorry, running Gnome....I can ALT+TAB...oh Ya for some reason I lost those panel settings...
