hi all,

applications i have running usually sit in the panel when running. if you minimize them, there still there. as you switch through the desktops, you can see what you have open.

my problem is that if i minimize a application, the app minimizes but goes off to the bottom right corner and doesn't display in the panel check out some images i posted on my site @ http://home.rochester.rr.com/linuxjim/ the 2 bottom links at that site show you the images as well as a brief description. the only way i can see what is running is either to leave the app full screen or minimize it and have to use ALT-TAB to see what is running.

Please help.

i am not sure, but it looks as though you are missing the "window list" applet that is usually running on the task bar. right click on the panel, add to panel, utility, and click on window list. i think this will solve your problem.

yep that was it!!!

now mozilla 1.7 is all messed up to!!! lost all settings, including all passwords stored, themes, etc... how about removing mozilla and reinstalling? questions comments concerns please reply

FC 2 comes with mozilla 1.6. i am going to assume you upgraded to 1.7 via rpm or source. in either event, are you sure of which version you are using. i ask this only because in some instances you may be using 1.6 and just not running the correct command to run 1.7. i guess i am asking that you be more specific with your problem. uninstalling also depends on how you installed it in the first place too.
