Maximizing Browser windows

Hi gang. Im running core 1 here and am having a terrible time trying to get Mozilla and Netscape to open up maximized. Any thoughts on what I could do here to correct the situation ?

I had the same problem for about 2 weeks, and every time I opened them up I would hit the maxmize button. After me manually maximizing them for about 2 weeks, they started opening up maximized. I don't know what they were doing.
