Check under Preferences/Control Center/Preferred Applications/Mail Reader. It will show which is your default mail service. The default mail service which is bundled with FC2 is Ximian Evolution which should be shown in your taskbar as an envelope/stamp. To check your settings, open Ximian and click on the Tools, then Settings tabs. Here you can either add or, if one exists, highlight and edit your email account.

Well, I don't use them, so I'm no source, but a Google search listed these: Mutt - http://www.mutt.org/ and Pine, which can be dowloaded from ftp://ftp.cac.washington.edu/pine/pine.tar.Z Hope it helps.
