Low signal warning is driving me nuts!

A week or so ago there was update to Fedora 14 that affected the wlan settings. Since then I keep getting a "low signal on..." warning. This flashes up at least every five seconds. I KNOW I have a low wi-fi signal! I don't need constantly reminding of it.

Is there any way I can turn this warning off? I am using KDE4.6.1.

Are you using network manager? If so, I'm pretty sure you can right click on the network manager icon in your status bar area and disable notifications.

Well I forgot to ask... Where are you seeing this warning? In a pop up dialog box, or in your /var/log/messages?

It is the KDE notification pop-up window. I choose to not get ANY notifications but usually I want them, just not the "low signal" every five seconds.

I have found it! It is in System > System Settings > System Notification Configuration. You can customise every single notification. I have never looked there before because I never had to.

I am using KDE 4.6.1 so maybe it is different on that?

By the way, it is actually in Settings (not system) > System Settings > Application & System notifications. Then select event source > network management.

Try Settings > System Settings > Look & Feel > Notifications. That's where it is in my Debian Wheezy menu.

Can't wait until 4.6.whocares finally makes it to wheezy.
