login change

I just got done loading this on my computer and was wondering if there was a way to get out of the X server or maybe even just boot into the console instead of the Xserver so I can try and load the nvidia drivers.

Thanks

Press CTRL-ALT-F1 to get to virtual console one. Log in as root. Type init 3. Install your nvidia drivers. Then type init 5 and you'll get the X server back. CTRL-ALT-F1 to go back to virtual console one and log out as root. CTRL-ALT-F7 gets you back to your graphical login screen.

Also, CTRL-ALT-backspace kills the X-server (and gets you to console), but I'm not sure if it restarts automatically.

From the console, command startx starts your X-system.

But the init -way is better in this case.

It does restart X automatically on Fedora.
