Unhappy Linuxdcpp

Hello frnd,

Please tell me how to convert dcpp connection to active mode. Whenever I am setting it into active mode by default port number are getting converted to 9176.
I am getting connected to host but I am unable to search on DCpp as well as I am not able to browse the file of any user. I am getting the message of connection timeout. So please help me..

Thanks in advance.

If you are behind the router, you have to forward apropriate ports (tcp: 411 and 9176, udp: 9176) or you're doomed to passive mode.

If you are connected directly, check your firewall.

Ouch, I don't know if FC has any tools for iptables (probably does) since I'm a Slackware guy

Post output of the following command as root (maybe we'll figure out something):

iptables -L

But, most probably, you're behind a router. I don't believe that FC has restrictive firewall by default.
