Linksys Wireless G Problem

I installed a new Linksys Wireless G router WRT54GS and since then when I boot the first time it fails on determing IP information. The second boot it's ok. I was going to do a fresh install and when I got to the customize the software page it failed on determing IP information again. Any suggestion.

I have had the most disgusting luck with Linksys products. The whole plethora of compaints gives Cisco a bad name. When I had pulled the last hair from my head I went and browsed the local store and came home with Belkin. I have had my G compatible Belkin now running without error for two years. The Linksys gadgets it replaced had to be reinitialized several times a day. If you have the box and receipt take it back and get ANYTHING else. Yes, I am sore about Linksys. Junk!

I've had Linksys for years without a problem. I'm looking for a solution to this problem. Not a replacement. With the vast amount of knowledge out here someone has seen this problem? This unit works perfect on my five computers with windozs. Fedora Core 6 was fine until I changed the router.

I was having the same prob's with my wireless g linksys router. Every few days I would have to unplug it to reset it.
Seems linksys knew about the problem but just didn't tell anyone about it.

They just released a patch upgrade not to long ago and since then mine runs rock solid.
