Wink let us learn Linux together

as i mentioned in other thread , that many visitors read this site, I would ask all of you members
to put some of linux commands and the purpose of it

i will start form what i got from you guys, to install a program
we should type in terminal as root

yum install (name of program)

yum means yellow dog update manage (tips from hero member Jlightner )

This makes no sense....there are many places you can go to see a list of commands

LQ also has a Tutorials section. This sort of thing works better there.
