latest gaim

Hey there!
I got synaptic and all, and i just noticed that the newest gaim 0.82-1 isn't the latest i can get. it's still on 0.82-0.

is that normal? should i wait a few days?
or should i build it from source and "upgrade" my current installation? how would i do that?

Thanks alot!

Christoph

I'd wait or try to find a more current version elsewhere...for instance from Dag you can get the most current version. Just download the appropriate *.rpm and upgrade via RPM.

I should really search for this, but since the topic is about Gaim, I'll add to it.

Does anyone have any issues with Gaim shutting down every so often. Like, i'd be typing away, or even inactive, and the whole Gaim application will close down. A simple restart of Gaim and it's running again. It's just annoying.

No that's not normal and hasn't happened to me in quite a few years (much earlier versions of gaim).

Why don't you just build your own?
