Kernel update : 2.6.16-1.2133_FC5

I currently run kernel:
2.6.16-1.2122_FC5

Is it worth it (and safe) to update to:
2.6.16-1.2133_FC5

is there release notes somewhere?

kernel-2.6.16-1.2133_FC5 has fixes for a few security related problems. So, they actually tried to make it safer.
Search the web for more information on this release of kernel.

But in my opinion, try updating the kernel for yourself and see. That is the best way of learning. You can remove it if you don't like it very easily by using yum.

Well I'm only worried because I'm builing a web server which is near to be in production. I don't want to update and then not be able to boot.

Hi outshined,
Once you update the kernel, do not remove the old kernel. That way, when you boot, GRUB will have the option of booting to the new kernel or the old one.

So, go ahead and try for yourself. If you are unable to boot to new kernel or are facing problems with other applications, simply rebbot and boot to the old kernel and remove the new kernel.
