Question Kernel 2.6.20-1.2933.fc6 breaks autologin?

Hi guys

After updating my kernel to 2.6.20-1.2933.fc6, I am no longer able to auto-login like before. Is it some bug? Anybody else has the same issue?

Any Suggestions
Thanks

Note: Use GDM as default login manager

That update did not have any ill effects for me, have you asked yum to remove gdm, then install gdm, you probably still have internet access. I don't see gdm in my update logs for the 24th of March which is when I upgraded to that kernel.

EDIT: I'm also on KDE 3.5.6, I joked about that in your signature a while back.

Yes! I'm glad to find out I'm not the only one that is having problems with this kernel update!

I have an ibm T30 and the new kernel messes up...
- the autologin works, HOWEVER, I randomly get logged out within 1-15 minutes of logging in.
- the system does not halt when I shut it down
- keyboard actions don't get sent to the proper windows
- it doesn't recognize I have the laptop plugged in, it dims the screeen automatically as if I were running on the battery. I assume this is an acpi compatability issue.

Anyways, I'm REALLY hoping they fix these bugs in the next update.\

John
