kernel-2.6.11-1.14_FC3 disables usb keyboard after short idle time

Once logged in to my session manager, and it doesn't matter which one I use, if I don't use the keyboard for say half an hour or so, the next time I try I get no response from the keys. I can't even CTRL-ALT-DEL. If I use the mouse to logout, I am unable to log back in and end up having to reboot. This only happens with kernel-2.6.11-1.14_FC3. Please help! it's driving me nuts, each time I change between kernels I end up having to reinstall the nvidia drivers and it is a right pain!
