In gnome you can easily configure meta city and global keyboard shortcuts with gconf-editor. Does KDE 3.14 have an equally useful tool?

I've looked at the keyboard shortcuts part of accessability, but It won't let me make new entries, like if I wanted to make ctrl+shift+p open gimp or something like that. This must be a common desire, I just can't seem to find it! Thanks

I feel stupid. I've freakin compiled my nvidia driver without having to ask crap, but this, ho ho, this is too tough for me. *bows head in shame*

I don't know of a way to do it natively with KDE but you can install xbindkeys.

Slick, I upgraded to kde 3.2 and there's something built in to accessability right below the old keyboard shortcuts called hotkeys.
