kde go "boom".... help!


i just installed kde 3.3.2 on FC2 and when i boot up, i cant get into kde.

i tried `switchdes kde` to which i get "kde not installed"

i used Konstruct to install kde.

i need help ASAP

Did you use the Rpm's or tar.gz when you installed KDE , it is quite
evident that Konstruct didn't install kde in the correct directories.

I believe that konsturct, by the way it is installed, does not conform to the switchdesk specs. If you wish to switch your Desktop and/or Desktop Manger, simply edit /etc/sysconfig/desktop

change to
DESKTOP=KDE
DESKTOPMANAGER=KDE


If I have botched one of the variables, someone please correct me. But I believe these are correct. I have used konstruct since RH9, and I love it. It gives you a very pure KDE install. I am trying to overcome my own hurdles presently with konstruct choking on some ogg settings.
