I believe that konsturct, by the way it is installed, does not conform to the switchdesk specs. If you wish to switch your Desktop and/or Desktop Manger, simply edit /etc/sysconfig/desktop
change to
DESKTOP=KDE
DESKTOPMANAGER=KDE
If I have botched one of the variables, someone please correct me. But I believe these are correct. I have used konstruct since RH9, and I love it. It gives you a very pure KDE install. I am trying to overcome my own hurdles presently with konstruct choking on some ogg settings.
