kallsyms not in /proc

I'm trying to get my ipw2200 driver going and one of the scripts use 'kallsyms' Its pathed as '/proc/kallsyms' but on my install of Core3 its in '/lib/modules/2.6.9-1.667/build/scripts'

If I try to run it from a shell its not found.

Should I?
A) copy it to /proc
B) add the path where it is to the PATH env var.
C) some other option.

Is there something else I should install to get in it the correct place? I did'nt do a full install or Core3.

You can't copy it to /proc, because /proc is not an ordinary directory, but a virtual filesystem.

What is the difference between the files I have which is the source and version 19 and the rpm files that the bugzilla points too?
Why would 'kallsyms' not be in /proc ?

I removed the bit of code in the batch file 'load' and it ran. But then I found that the settings for the wlan did not work kept saying eth1 missing. When I deleted it I was unable to re add, using the network configuration tool. I then rebooted the system and was able to re add it and now its working! :-)

So, does 'load' only need to be ran once?
I'm a bit confused, what did I do to make it work?
