how can I get k3b to burn my mp3s or do I need to turn them into wav files first and if so how do I do that.. I downloaded k3b-mp3 and it says its already installed but it tells me I have an unsupported file format. please help
thanks
Haven't had time to mess with this yet, but I suspect that the 'unsupported file format' message may be related to an illegal character in the file name.

Fedora has mp3 support disabled, so thats why k3b can't burn mp3's. I wonder if there is a program somewhere that can enable systemwide ,p3 support instead of just for individual packages. Anyway there is a program called m32ogg, that you can use to convert your mp3s to ogggs and then burn the oggs to cd using k3b.
