javascript for firefox?

Is it possible to get rtsp javascript urls to run from firefox? I can't get this to run from the c-span site;
javascript:playClip('rtsp://cspanrm.fplive.net/cspan/archive/iraq/iraq_wj050504_palast.rm')

I'm told that " rtsp is not a registered protocol"
Can I add it to filetypes in downloads in firefox/options or mimetypes in firefox/more options??

Do you have realplayer or the plugin installed? thats what the protocol is for. It isn't meant to run in the browser.

As for downloading I haven't been able to force it.

I do have realplayer, mplayer, xmms, and they all work fine, just won't pull in that javascript.

So that url may be busted?

I just tried the url in konq and it works. Start realplayer and use file->open location to get access to the stream. You might want to report this to firefox, or see if they are currently working on this.
