Java plugin

I downloaded 1.4.2_03 blackstone java. I using fedora core 5 amd64
I ran ln -s /usr/local/j2re1.4.2/plugin/amd64/mozilla/libjavaplugin_oji.so /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/libjavaplugin_oji.so/
It says it exists but it won't work.
I did install LinuxJ2K plugin but it doesn't have an applet.
I looked at sun java but they say to install a 32 bit download for the applet.
I double checked where the files are installed and they are correct.
I have had success using sun java and installing the plugin on 32bit systems.

Your better off (for now) running the 32-bit versions of firefox or seamonkey with the 32-bit Sun jre rpm package installed.

Some additional help:

Found the problem

I used the wrong command the correct command is
usr/local/j2re1.4.2/plugin/amd64/mozilla/libjavaplugin_oji.so /usr/lib64/mozilla/plugins
The java applet worked properly using dslreports speedtest.
I added plugins for RealPlayer10,nspluginwrapper,macromedia flashplayer,Adobe reader.
Thanks for your help.
