IPW2200 native support in FC3?

I've been using Linux for about a year at this point, mainly Fedora/Redhat/mandrake. I'm currently running Fedora Core 2 as my main system on my Dell D600 laptop. Everything is groovy but I cant get the internal WiFi NIC to work. I've given up on it for the time being and have slapped in a Netgear wireless pcmcia card.

My question is: Will FC3 support IPW2100 and IPW2200 wifi cards natively? Or will I have to keep my Nethear?

A half-answer to your question: I know for sure that the ipw2100/2200 is not supported in the 2.6.9 kernel, so it's up to the FC team to build the module into the next release.

As a side-note, I have the ipw2100 working on my Dell D600. I'm assuming you went through all the procedures on the ipw2200 Sourceforge site, including installing the firmware drivers, correct?
