I've managed to install the drivers on Slack no prob, but fedora gives this o/p:
[root@bobshost bob]# lspci | grep RaLink
00:0a.0 Network controller: RaLink Ralink RT2500 802.11 Cardbus Reference Card (rev 01)
[root@bobshost bob]# cd /home/bob/RT2500/source/rt2500/Module/
[root@bobshost Module]# make
make: *** /lib/modules/2.6.11-1.1369_FC4/build: No such file or directory. Stop.
rt2500.ko failed to build!
make: *** [module] Error 1
Has anyone installed these drivers on Fedora Core 4?
There does not seem to be anything in /usr/src on the distro.
make: *** /lib/modules/2.6.11-1.1369_FC4/build: No such file or directory. Stop.
This is saying that it could not find the kernel source code for the specific kernel that it detects as running. You need to download the kernel sources as well. For every version of kernel source you have installed, that respective tree will be setup under /usr/src
But your own words saying that there is nothing under /usr/src is actually the ticket. Get the kernel sources and try again.
