whenever i install some package it gives an eror saying tht it is unablesoftwwsr to retrieve the software information. whAT CAN i do. also the os has detected the sound card but i cannot hear any sound while testing. it gives an error 8. wat can i do
i am using fedora 5. trying to install the mp3 plugin from the xmms. the sound card is the intel wid the hp laptop. it installs some packages an some not frm the edora extras cd
