Installing kernel-sources in Fedora 6 without internet access
Hi,
I am new to Linux and am tonight trying to install a patch to make my modem work. I assume that kernel-sources are not on the F6 DVD. Can I download them on my laptop, save to CD and then install them?
If so, what command do I use to do this. I am coming to linux from windows and have no idea yet of command lines. Do I just navigate to the CD and open the file?
Is the kernel source just 1 file or a number of files. Where do I get it.
Sorry for all the questions, but 1 week on, and I'm still trying to get Linux to work!!! :-)
Thanks,
Tim
