hi
i wanted to install fc2 on my pc:
pentium 4-2600MHz
motherboard: asus p4p800
in the beginning, after i press Enter to start installing, it shows:
Loading vmlinuz.................
Loading initrd.img.............................................
Ready.
and reboots.
i tried options like linux askmode and the others, but they wont work.
i didnt have this problem with fedora core 1.
i think it's something related to hardware, cuz i installed it in another computer.
if someone have any suggestion please help.

well usually the computer reboots if init 6 is called. maybe by some strange happenings your file /etc/inittab loads init:6. Just check it, it's one of the first lines int /etc/inittab. if it is 6 then you must change it to 3 or 5. To be able to change it you must load any other operating system that supports writing on ext3 (for example boot from your Fedora Core 2 installation CD and open the second terminal, mount your harddisk and go to your mounted partition and check the file /etc/inittab with "pico inittab". Check the line and modify it if it is the case.)
