I'm trying to install apt4rpm on this laptop "workstation" install of FC2 but getting a load of errors/conflicts. I previously installed a full server edition on a PC and had no problems dloading the rpms and getting it working, so I'm not sure what didn't get installed to cause this
This is the list of packages for apt-get I've identified
apt-0.5.4cnc9-1cl.i386.rpm
apt-devel-0.5.4cnc9-1cl.i386.rpm
bzip2-0.9.5d-2.i386.rpm
perl-XML-LibXML-1.53-1.i586.rpm
perl-XML-LibXML-Common-0.12-1.i586.rpm
perl-XML-NamespaceSupport-1.08-1.i586.rpm
perl-XML-SAX-0.12-1.i586.rpm
rpm-3.0.5-7.6x.i386.rpm
synaptic-0.26-rb1.i386.rpm
most of which (the perl stuff anyway) went on without a hitch but this is what happens for the rest
Code:
[root@redhap apt4rpm]# rpm -i apt-0.5.4cnc9-1cl.i386.rpm

[root@redhap apt4rpm]# rpm -i bzip2-0.9.5d-2.i386.rpm
package bzip2-1.0.2-12.1 (which is newer than bzip2-0.9.5d-2) is already installed

file /usr/bin/bzless from install of bzip2-0.9.5d-2 conflicts with file from package bzip2-1.0.2-12.1
any ideas how I can get round this? I'm a bit shaky with rpms hence the attempt to put apt on
