HELLO,I HAVE LibO-SDK_3.3_Linux_x86_install-rpm_en-US.TAR.GZ
i am following the steps as given in the link:
http://www.libreoffice.org/get-help/installation/linux/

Installation of LibreOffice on Fedora

on doing
yum install *.rpm
i got the following error message

Loaded plugins: langpacks, presto, refresh-packagekit

You could try using --skip-broken to work around the problem
** Found 1 pre-existing rpmdb problem(s), 'yum check' output follows:
jre-1.6.0_23-fcs.i586 is a duplicate with jre-1.6.0_20-fcs.i586

Are you sure you have the right rpms. From the looks of things it looks like you are trying to install development rpms (they are labelled as SDK)?

You want the libreoffice/LibO_3.3.0_Linux_x86_install-rpm_en-US.tar.gz

That is a 32 bit rpm.

The 64 bit rpm is;

LibO_3.3.0_Linux_x86-64_install-rpm_en-US.tar.gz

LOL

I forgot to say, the file I downloaded came from ;

wget http://download.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/stable/3.3.0/rpm/x86_64/LibO_3.3.0_Linux_x86-64_install-rpm_en-US.tar.gz[/url]

That is the x86_64 64 bit rpm.

For the 32 bit version change the x86_64 to x86 in the tar.gz file name. And the x86_64 to x86 in the path to the tar.gz file.

In other words there is Two places to change in the http:// shown above.

Someone already pointed out one problem, that of your filename. In addition to the incorrect architecture (x86 vs x86_64) you had also downloaded the SDK, which is the Software Development Kit, useful if you're developing modules for LibreOffice, worthless for running it. Follow the post above to fix your download. Additionally, don't use
Code:
yum install *.rpm
Instead, use:
Code:
yum localinstall LibreOffice*
This will attempt to install the actual binary RPMs and install the necessary libraries for you without dealing with cyclic dependencies, though YUM doesn't have much trouble with that sort of thing, it's a good habit to be in.
