Unhappy install woes...

Im having trouble with the install of core 1, when i come to select packages they are not all there?
Like MySql is not available and koffice is not available,

I have installed on my laptop (p4 1.8, ati radeon gfx, 512mb ram, 20gb HDD, intel 100mbit nic, netgear fa401 wifi ) ok and MySql was available,
but on other pc (amd duron 600mhz, elsa gloria synergy gfx, 600mhz 512mb ram, 20gb HDD, 2x netgear fa100 nic ) it is not available?

Any ideas??
tried booting with noprobe and in text install mode but no luck
(the machine I am trying to install on has been a Redhat 7.3 for a long while, if that matters )

Are you trying to upgrade from RH 7.3 or is it a fresh install? If it for the upgrade, do you have all those packages installed in your RH 7.3? Haven't done upgrade myself since I know I'll have too much troubles to handle afterward.

Hi,

not doing an upgrade and choosing custom install at the start.
I am choosing to remove all linux installations and partitions using anaconda installer tools.
(I do have the packages installed on my 7.3 machine though )

I havent tried removing everything before running installer though,
dont want to have to do that as I would prefer to not have to re-install 7.3 again.

I would also prefer a fresh install instead of an upgrade, but i would upgrade if thats the only way

NOTE:
When I installed on the laptop I did the same (though that had R.H. 9 installed)

Maybe asking the obvious, but when you get to where you can select individual packages, do you see the listing "SQL Database Server" under the "Servers" section?

Have tried the same thing. It turned out the CD was damaged. Run the tests of the cd's at the start of the install.

I used the same cd(s) for both installs, tested them on the first install but I didnt on the second install so I will try that .

When I come to the package selection 'SQL Database Server' is shown but when I look into the details i there is only one thing in there , which is ODBC stuff, there is no MySql and not even any postgress either
