install theme

how do i install a new theme in gnome? i have fedora core 1.

i have downloaded a gtk and a gtk2 theme but there isnt any explenation on how to install them. have tried to copy both to the .themes dir, with no luck

It's pretty simple, just click on the gnome menu --> preferences --> themes. From there go to install themes then search for where you have the file saved. That should be it.
