install of kde cd problems
Hi all
I have a clean install of FC3 on my amd2000+ and all is running fine. I have just tried to change from Gnome to KDE by installing disk 1 and following the prompts. All works fine until we get to the part where I am asked to insert disk 2 and press enter. I get an error saying the disk is not readable. It doesn´t matter which disk I put in, even disk 1 will not read. It is as if the system loses control of the CD. It is a Ricoh MP7163A cd burner. Any ideas?? Thanks for your help Kevin |
Did you try to install KDE through the Gnome menu "Applications>System Settings>Add/Remove Applications". Maybe that will do the trick, there will be a gui with all of your packages installed with the option to add/remove.
When you make a selection to add a new package you will then be prompted to insert the proper disc. |
