I've done this but it was a while ago, I've nolonger got a 98 installation to check exactly.
You need to get into something like application data, mozilla. It looks very similar to how it does in linux.
In Core4 Thunderbird it's ~.thunderbird/(alphnumericnumber).default has the address book "abook.mab". Mail has of course all your mail.
Firefox is ~ .mozilla/firefox/(alphanumeric number).default
bookmarks are "bookmarks.html"
You can import bookmarks in firefox by going into "manage bookmarks" selecting "import" then navigating to the file.
