I think there may be not be boot loader on Fedora Core 6

I installed it to a blank hard drive, which I planned on moving to a different computer, and I don't think I added the grub boot loader, is there a way to add this without reinstalling FC6?

During the installation, it didn't ask to add on configure a boot file.

Boot up from the Fedora install CD--if it is a live CD, wait for it to get booted and then open a terminal.
otherwise, once it gets up, do ctrl-alt-F1 to get a shell prompt.

To install GRUB (Assumes that the installation is on hda1)

grub starts the grub shell
root (hd0,0) tells grub where /boot is (grub counts from zero)
setup (hd0) puts grub on the mbr

Take out the CD and re-boot

Or--simply re-install. I assure you that there is a step to install the bootloader.

I installed it at a friends house with their computer, mine doesn't have a dvd drive and no matter how many times I burned the 6 disc set, the discs would be bad.

So I guess this case I'll just have to take my whole tower to his house, place his disc drive in mine, and reinstall that way.

Well, there goes all my effort for the day wasted.

Thank you though.
