I need printers for Lexmark, HP, and Epson for use in Fedora 9
I have three printers for use, my HP psc 1310, a new Epson CX 7400, and a Lexmark x1240.
Where can I find drivers for one or more of these printers. Thanks dicbax |
Welcome to LQ!!
What version ("distro") of Linux do you have? Have you tried installing any of them? The Linux printing SW includes drivers for many printers--all you have to do is run the installer, and see if the driver is there. Next stop would be the mfg's website. At least with HP, there's a good chance it will be there. With Epson there is a site just for Linux issues. I don't have it, but Google will find it. Distro's of Linux
Since I'm convinced there is a better world than the Microsoft one, I've tried several versions of Linux. Currently, I'm trying Ubuntu 8.04.1 and Puppy 4.0. I like the Puppy version because it's much faster, but Ubuntu seems to have more available information.
Thanks for the advice, I'll check those suggestions, dick |
